Admin Digest
Scheduled operational summaries for the board — delivered daily or weekly. Covers what's included and how to configure recipients and sections.
Last updated April 29, 2026
Admin Digest generates daily or weekly summary reports of your community’s operational activity. Boards use it to stay current without logging into the dashboard every day.
What’s in a digest
You can include or exclude any of these sections:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Dues collected | Total dues collected during the period |
| Payments received | All payments coming in (any type) |
| Overdue accounts | Properties with overdue balances |
| Violations processed | Violations created, resolved, or fined |
| New requests | Requests filed during the period |
| New members | Residents added to the community |
| Bookings | Booking activity (created, confirmed, completed) |
Toggle each section under the digest config. Most boards keep most sections enabled.
Configuring the schedule
Configuration → Admin Digest
Toggle on, then configure:
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Daily or Weekly |
| Delivery hour | What hour of day to send (0-23) |
| Delivery day (weekly only) | Which day of the week to send |
| Recipients | All admins, or a custom list |
| Sections to include | Which of the seven sections appear |
For daily delivery, the digest fires once per day at the configured hour. For weekly, it fires once per week on the configured day at the configured hour.
Recipients
| Recipient option | When to use |
|---|---|
| All admins | Default — everyone with admin access gets it |
| Custom recipient list | Specific board members only (e.g., just the Treasurer for a financial-focused digest) |
Admin Digest is board-only. It’s not for resident distribution — for community-wide financial reporting, use Herald Dispatch.
Why daily vs. weekly
Daily for active communities — boards that want to stay closely on top of activity.
Weekly for most communities — daily is too much noise for most boards. A Monday morning weekly digest covering the previous week is the sweet spot.
If you find yourself ignoring daily digests, switch to weekly. If weekly feels like too much catch-up, switch back to daily.
Sample digest
A weekly Admin Digest might look like:
[HOA Name] — Admin Digest
Week of April 21–27, 2026
Dues collected: $4,800
Payments received: $5,150 (15 payments)
Overdue accounts: 6 properties, $1,200 outstanding
Violations processed: 3 (2 resolved, 1 fined)
New requests: 4 (2 ARC, 1 complaint, 1 general)
New members: 1
Bookings: 7 (clubhouse 2, pool 5)
The actual content reflects what the system tracked during the period. Sections you’ve disabled don’t appear.
Common situations
”The numbers in the digest don’t match what I see in Transactions”
Two possible causes:
- Date range mismatch — the digest covers its specific period; you may be looking at a different range
- Pending transactions — some transactions are still settling and don’t yet appear in the digest
If the discrepancy is consistent and large, contact support@homeherald.ai with a sample case.
”We want financial detail beyond what the digest shows”
Pull the full transaction log from Transactions and export to CSV. The digest is a summary; the transaction log is the source of truth.
”We’re getting too many digests”
Switch from daily to weekly, or trim down the recipient list to just the people who actually need it.
”We don’t need digests”
Disable the automation. The data is still accessible under Transactions anytime.
